My Story

When I was 19 years old on the 22nd of December 2014, I was diagnosed with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis. After weeks of uncertainty, hospital stays waiting for scans and tests and days of feeling trapped in my own body, I finally had my answer. However at 19, I had no idea what MS was. Hearing the word "disability" felt like the world was crumbling around me. Life won't be the same. As I've grown, my everyday has just adapted. It's been a journey of discovering what's good for my body and finding a treatment that works for me, recognising what triggers my symptoms and doing the best I can to keep well. Thankfully, I have an amazing support system around me as well as a great nurse and consultant helping me along the way. December 2024 will mark the 10 year anniversary of my diagnosis and I plan on commemorating the occasion doing something incredible! Completing a half marathon would be a huge accomplishment for me and I hope to raise funds to help others in the MS community.

The AJ Bell Great Scottish Run is the biggest and best running event in Scotland. Starting in the heart of the city, runners soak up the incredible atmosphere and music all the way to the finish in Glasgow Green.

With rocking entertainment zones every kilometre and some of the best (and loudest!) crowd support anywhere in the world, It’s an event day experience like no other.

It’s not all about the adults, the Junior & Mini events give the kids a chance to experience that finish line feeling, earn a special medal & raise money for good causes.
